Frequently asked

Questions people ask before we work together.

What do you do?

I’m Simão Bártolo, Co-Founder and Project Manager at unset.studio. I run digital projects end to end — branding, websites, products and film — from the first conversation with a client through to delivery. My job is to keep scope, budget and timeline honest, and to make sure what gets built is what was actually needed.

What is unset.studio?

unset.studio is a digital studio based in Portugal, working across three areas: design — brand identity, design systems, UI/UX and product design; film — corporate, explainer, product and motion; and code — React, Next.js, Webflow, Shopify, Payload CMS and integrations. We work with startups, consultants, agencies and established businesses.

What kind of projects and industries do you work with?

Projects range from a single brand identity to a full website or product build, and are often a combination of the two. Recent work spans architecture, finance and Web3, industrial manufacturing, investment, and other design studios. The common thread is companies that need to be taken seriously by their own clients.

How do you work with new clients?

It starts with a conversation about the problem, not the deliverable. From there we scope the work, agree a timeline and a price, and run the project in stages with regular reviews — so nothing arrives as a surprise at the end. The quickest way to start is an email to hi@unset.studio.

Where are you based, and what languages do you work in?

I’m based in Portugal and work with clients here and abroad, in Portuguese and English.
